CHICAGO, Ill. – More people are weighing in both for and against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ appearance in Peoria Friday. Chief among them is Illinois Governor JB Pritzker.
The governor says on his campaign Twitter account while DeSantis claims he’s fighting to protect freedoms, “he has no problem taking away their reproductive rights….”
The governor also claims DeSantis is attacking schools and people in the LGBTQ community, and discriminating against minorities.
He says all that makes DeSantis “a natural fit for the GOP’s Lincoln Day dinner.”
Protests along those same lines are expected prior to DeSantis’ appearance at the Peoria Civic Center in front of Peoria and Tazewell County Republicans.
