ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The outcome may have been a bit too close for comfort, but what matters is the Bradley Braves men’s basketball team is going for a championship.
The Braves defeated Indiana State in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament Saturday 71-70 to punch the ticket to the conference championship Sunday against a familiar foe in Drake.
The Braves defeated Drake in the final game of the regular season to take the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title.
The Braves starters had some difficulties at the start, but the Braves bench stepped up, with Darius Hannah and Ja’Shon Henry collecting a combined 27 points.

The Braves are hoping to win their fifth MVC tournament title, and their first 1988.
