PEKIN, Ill. – A retired captain in the Pekin Fire Department is now under arrest on felony sex charges.
Our news partner 25 News reports Jamie Evans is being held in the Tazewell County Jail on a charge of Criminal Sexual Assault.
According to court documents, Evans and an unnamed female engaged in sexual contact, even though the victim repeatedly said she wasn’t in a relationship with him, and the two weren’t dating.
“(Victim name redacted) stated Evans is very controlling,” the affidavit, obtained by 25 News, reads. “Evans drives everywhere, won’t allow (victim name redacted) to have friends, and shows up at the home unannounced and lets himself in even when the door is locked and at times when (victim name redacted) is sleeping.”
Evans retired in September, after being put on paid administrative leave during an Illinois State Police investigation.
Evans is jailed on $150,000 bond.
