PEORIA, Ill. – A 15-year-old female is in trouble with the law for allegedly stealing a car among other things.
Peoria Police investigators say they found the girl around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday near Kansas and Wisconsin, wanted on vehicle theft and another incident; but she tried to flee, holding on to a coat pocket.
During the chase, police say she tried to hijack a vehicle from a citizen but was unsuccessful.
She was eventually arrested, with a loaded gun in her possession.
The teen is in the juvenile detention center on charges of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon, No FOID card, Possession of a Stolen Firearm, Possession of a Firearm Under 21, Attempted Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking, Motor Vehicle Theft, and Obstructing Police.
