PEORIA HEIGHTS, Ill. – A Peoria Heights man has been arrested for at least the third time in the last month — this time, for a fire that destroyed a home there.
Peoria Heights Police say Skylar Walker, 32, was arrested Wednesday afternoon on a charge of Residential Arson and is back in the Peoria County Jail.
The fire Walker is accused of starting was reported October 23rd on East Rouse Avenue, in between Monroe and Atlantic Avenues.
Peoria Heights Fire officials say the home suffered what they called “catastrophic” damage, after one floor collapsed in to the other, with homes on either side also being damaged.
Jail records indicate Walker was arrested October 9 on charges of Public Indecency and Disorderly Conduct in one case, only to be arrested again five days later on a charge of Criminal Damage to Property in another.
