EAST PEORIA, Ill. – The Tazewell County Coroner has identified the victim in Monday’s fatal crash near East Peoria involving a car and a motorcycle.
Coroner Charles Hanley says preliminary autopsy results on James King, 66, of East Peoria indicate he died from multiple blunt force injuries. Toxicology reports are pending.
Illinois State Police says King was stopped on Illinois Route 26 near Spring Creek Road when a vehicle driven by Caleb Crowley, 19, of Metamora struck the motorcycle, just before 2:00 p.m.
King was pronounce dead at the scene.
Crowley was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed, and it’s not clear if other charges will be filed.
