Bartonville Police Chief Brian Fengel is retiring, leaving the police department after 29 years of service.
Announced Friday, Fengel has been appointed as director/coordinator for the Central Illinois Police Training Center – MTU 7 in Peoria.
Fengel has served as Bartonville’s police chief since 1998.
During 33 years in law enforcement, Fengel has been involved with the Silver Search Task Force, Amber Alert Task Force, Elder Abuse Task Force and was on the EPA Committee with the International Chiefs Association.
