WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump said at his daily address Tuesday that there were various companies across the country producing ventilators in the fight against COVID-19.
On April 13, 2,200 ventilators will be arriving to the federal government.
Trump said that Ford, General Motors and GE among others are some of the companies producing ventilators.
The amount of ventilators coming in will rise until the end of June.
“On June 29, we have 60,000 ventilators coming,” said Trump. “So, we have a total of 110,000 ventilators coming over a short period of time.”
He added that he does not believe the United States will need all the ventilators, and he hopes we don’t.
“We’ll have them for the future, and we’ll also be able to help other countries who are desperate for ventilators,” said Trump.
On Monday, over 30,000 new cases of COVID-19 were announced nationwide.
