TREMONT, Ill. – Two people are dead and five others are injured after a crash late Saturday afternoon in Tazewell County.
The Tazewell County Sheriffs Department says it happened south of Tremont near the intersection of Townline and Locust Roads just after 4:00 p.m.
A Utility Terrain Vehicle was headed south on Locust when it collided with a truck going west on Townline.
Authorities say the two people who died were in the UTV. Autopsies are expected Monday.
The five others injured were taken to a local hospital.
An investigation into the crash continues.
