PEORIA, Ill. – An alderman in one Stark County community reportedly until Monday now faces federal charges connected to an investigation into child pornography.
25 News reports Jason Musselman, 34, faces counts of Sexual Exploitation of Minors and Production of Child Pornography. He was originally arrested on state charges in Stark County.
Court documents indicate investigators have identified eight adults who, at the time, were minors invited to Musselman’s Toulon home to use his tanning bed.
Several hundred nude photos in or near a tanning bed allegedly have been found on both a cell phone and on a memory card.
Musselman — who has reportedly resigned from his Ward 2 seat on the Toulon City Council, is scheduled to be in a Peoria federal courtroom Tuesday for a detention hearing.
