PEORIA, Ill. – A Peoria man who allegedly exchanged gun fire with Peoria Police late last month has been formally indicted.
Court records indicate Carlos Jones, 43, is being indicted on two counts of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
Jones was arrested February 3, about four days after the incident on East McClure, after allegedly trying to run from Police after he was spotted.
The investigation into the shooting incident itself was taken over by Illinois State Police, though it was Peoria Police who reportedly caught Jones.
He’ll be arraigned Thursday morning and remains jailed.
