WASHINGTON, Ill. – Police in Washington need some help from the public getting to the bottom of an accident Wednesday night that claimed the life of a local resident.
Police say after the initial crash at Washington Road and School Street, a second vehicle passed a stopped vehicle, travelling westbound toward East Peoria.
Police want to talk to that driver, and say if that driver is you, or you know who it was, call them.
They say they want as much information as possible about the accident that killed 55-year old Jerry Armstrong, as he was crossing the street.
