PEORIA, Ill. — After suffering a shootout loss on Friday night, the Peoria Rivermen bounced back on Saturday night with a 3-2 win against the Evansville Thunderbolts.
The Rivermen scored all three of their goals in the first period. The Thunderbolts responded with a goal late in the first period and another in the second period, but the Rivermen were able to shut them out in the third period.
The Rivermen outshot the Thunderbolts 31-21, including holding the Thunderbolts to a season-low three shots on goal in the third period.
Jeremy Brodeur got the win in goal with 19 saves improving his record to 4-0. The Rivermen are now 8-0-1 on the season and end their five-game road trip when they visit the Quad City Storm on Friday night.
