LEWISTOWN, Ill. – Prosecutors in Fulton County are starting to lay out the murder case against a Canton woman charged with First-Degree Murder in the death of her five-month-old daughter.
Joslynn Graham, 23, was in court Tuesday for a bond hearing. Our news partner 25 News reports Graham searched the Internet for “how to get rid of your baby” in the weeks before Emery Lyons’ death.
They believe Graham “expressed frustration with the child” prior to the death.
Authorities say Lyons died Thursday from blunt force trauma to the head. She was found unresponsive at home before a family member called 911.
A judge set Graham’s bond at $1 million, and by statute must post ten percent before she can be released. She’s scheduled to be back in court Thursday, and could face 20 to 60 years in prison if convicted.
