EAST PEORIA, Ill. – Police in East Peoria say they have the man in custody they believe is responsible for assaulting a woman while posing as a solar panel salesman.
Police say Ezekiel Metcalfe, 20, was arrested Tuesday afternoon on a charge of Criminal Sexual Abuse and was taken to the Tazewell County Jail.
Metcalfe allegedly abused a 44-year-old female who had given him a ride last Wednesday while he was working as a door-to-door solicitor for a solar company..
Police Monday asked for the public’s help in solving the case, and officials say it was one of those tips that led to the arrest.
