PEORIA, Ill. – A Washington man will spend the next several years in prison after he opened fire into a car in the Warehouse District last year.
Court records indicate Billy DeLasso, 32, was sentenced Wednesday to seven years in prison with credit for more than three hundred days served in jail, after he pleaded guilty in April to a count of Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
A count of Aggravated Unlawful Use of a Weapon was dismissed in exchange for the plea.
The shooting happened October 3, 2022 on Warner Lane. He allegedly fired into a car parked there.
He was arrested following a medical evaluation.
DeLasso must serve 85 percent of the sentence before he can be considered for release.
