PEORIA, Ill. – A man is expected to be okay after an afternoon shooting not far from Peoria Heights.
Peoria Police say the shooting happened on North Columbus Avenue, inbetween Crestwood and Northcrest, around 1:45 p.m.
Police on the scene say everyone was still there when they arrived, and the victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries but was taken to the hospital.
An investigation into just what happened continues, but police say there was no ShotSpotter alert in the area.
