CHICAGO, Ill. – The risk of COVID-19 in the Peoria-area remains unchanged from last week.
Peoria and Tazewell Counties remain at medium spread level. Woodford County is still at a low level of risk.
The number of counties at an elevated level of COVID spread is 18, down two from last week. But four counties in southern Illinois are now at the highest level of risk, after no counties were at that level last week.
The department reported 10,772 new cases and 52 new deaths related to COVID-19 in the week ending February 26th.
