PEORIA, Ill. – A Washington man is being arraigned on charges accusing him of assaulting a family member is pleading not guilty.
Austin Ricca, 27, appeared in Peoria County Court Thursday, after a grand jury charged him last week with Attempted Murder, Aggravated Domestic Battery, and Aggravated Battery.
Ricca — arrested December 11th — allegedly hit an unidentified family member a number of times with a baseball bat at a home near Anna and West Streets in Bartonville.
Ricca is tentatively scheduled for a trial by jury March 6th.
He’ll be back in court February 23rd, and remains jailed in the meantime.
