PEKIN, Ill. – A doctor says he is, but a judge will rule next week whether a Tazewell County man accused of stabbing his sister then setting their home on fire is fit to stand trial.
25 News reports a hearing in the case of David Naffziger, 50 — charged with Attempted Murder and Arson — will be held next Wednesday, May 4.
A doctor recently determined Naffziger was unfit.
Naffziger claimed “spirits” led him to stab Lindsey Naffziger, 64, and her dog April 3, before setting the rural Washington home ablaze.
Lindsey Naffziger survived, but the home was considered a total loss.
