LaSALLE, Ill. – Officials in LaSalle County say a body found in the Illinois River earlier this month is that of a missing Illinois State University student.
Our news partner 25 News report the LaSalle County Coroner used dental and DNA records to identify the body of Jelani Day.
Day was last seen on the Illinios State University campus August 24th. His car was found two days later near Peru.
An investigation into Day’s death is continuing.
