PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Public Schools want to talk about the recent incidents of voilence in the schools, including last Friday’s series of fights at Peoria High School.
District 150 says it’s inviting members of the PPS community, and the community in general, to the board office for a town hall meeting this Friday. They say what’s been happening is not just a school district problem, but also the community as a whole.
“Solutions should involve Peoria Public Schools families (parents and students), teachers and administrators, area leaders and the board,” PPS said in a statement.
The town hall meeting will be from 5pm to 7pm on Friday, September at the district administration building on North Wisconsin. Anyone wanting to send a solution to the board in writing should contact board secretary Cami Ross at (309) 672-6763 or cami.ross@psd150.org.
