TAZEWELL COUNTY, Ill. — One person was killed, and two others were injured Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash between Deer Creek and Morton.
“One of the occupants of a passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene at 4 p.m.,” said Tazewell County Coroner Charles Hanley.
Two people were transported to a hospital for treatment.
“The other two individuals were taken to a local hospital, one in serious condition and the other treated and released last evening,” added Hanley.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday. The deceased individual’s identity has not been released.
The Tazewell County Coroner’s Office and Illinois State Police are investigating.
