PEORIA, Ill. — Bradley University has announced no fans will be permitted inside its arenas to watch basketball during the 2020-2021 season.
This applies to both the men’s team, which plays at Carver Arena, and the women’s team, which plays at Renaissance Coliseum.
In an e-mail to season ticket holders, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Chris Reynolds cited “state and local guidelines” related to COVID-19, and suggested ticket holders take an alternative route with their unusable tickets.
“I respectfully ask you to consider supporting our new Ever Onward Initiative by converting your 2020-2021 season ticket payment into a tax-deductible donation,” he requested.
“Your investment in Bradley Athletics through a gift to the Ever Onward Initiative will help to mitigate the impact of the pandemic and reinforce areas such as academic support, career preparation, sports medicine, nutrition, and mental health services so that we can continue the powerful momentum that has enabled us to enjoy the most competitively successful five-year period in Bradley Athletics history.”
The men’s season starts Nov. 25 in a tournament against Toledo, to be held at Xavier.
